DESIGN INTERVENTION TREND

SUBJECT: Corona
Support for coping with stressful work situations in nursing.

„Flower Gallery“ by Beate Woehrle

Many nurses in a Covid ward complain about high patient mortality within a very short period of time. A flower gallery is to provide a platform for documenting farewells, pain and other uncomfortable feelings related to deaths in the most positive way possible.
The growing wall visualises the burden of the entire team in connection with the dying.
It also acts as a document of remembrance. In addition, it helps leaders to recognise the strain on a team at an early stage and to organise appropriate support measures.

It was a depositing,
a letting go,
a relief – like laying down a stone on the Way of St. James.
