TRANSFORMATION DESIGN

SUBJECT: Invitation to Rethinking

„Uncoping – a medical-creative view of motivational problems in change processes.“
Extract from the research project „The Future Pharmacy“.

„New Thinking“ describes the breaking out of traditional thinking, i.e. the journey towards a new level of reflection. Thinking outside the box, phantasising, simply imagining alternative scenarios to the current ACTUAL situation.
The phenomenon of „burn out“ was first described in the 1970s, today it has long been recognised as an illness and is effectively treatable. So why not also elevate the increasingly spreading challenges related with change processes to the status of disease. A dialogue could begin, suffering would become tangible and treatable, well-being could be regained. But even better, prevention in the sense of protecting employees from occupational illness would suddenly be possible.
In the context of Corona, the „Change Syndrome“, or „Uncoping“ in brief, is designed as an unconventional infectious disease. The ambivalence between a bizarre creative story and a typical medical description is explicitly used as a stylistic feature. This form of narration is intended to appeal to the reader in a humorous way, but also to invite him to reflect seriously.
